Julia specialises in digital strategy, creative content production and copywriting. She’s worked with government departments and leading non-profits including FCDO, the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, WWF, the Mo Ibrahim Foundation and Fondation Botnar.

Prior to joining Thorndon, she helped build a social enterprise called The Social Change Nest, that offers fiscal hosting and capacity-building support to grassroots groups and activists around the world. While there she worked on the Lloyds Bank Foundation Enhance Scheme, offering strategic communications support to charities working on issues such as refugee rights and domestic violence.

Julia has degrees in International Relations and Gender Studies and a Diploma in Creative Writing. She has experience studying abroad in Denmark, China and Kosovo. Outside of work, she is a passionate advocate for gender equality and sits on the board of the charity 50:50, that works to get more women into UK politics.
