Öyku advises clients on strategic communications, litigation support, and crisis management, with experience in complex legal disputes, international policy, and reputation management in politically sensitive contexts. She has also worked on communications and engagement strategies for philanthropic initiatives and international development projects.
Before joining Thorndon, she served as Policy Assistant to a senior UK Member of Parliament and worked at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has contributed to climate, energy, and development policy, as well as international campaigns for governments, NGOs, and multilateral organisations.
Öyku holds an MSc in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and graduated as valedictorian with a BSc in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University. She is fluent in Turkish and English, with working proficiency in Russian.
